Anders Lindahl at the Institute of Biomedicine and Elisabeth Hansson at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology have, in collaboration with Eva Sköldebrand at the Swedish University of Agriculture, been granted funding in national competition within the expanded program Validering för tillämpning (‘Validation for application’) for the utilization of research results. The project is about early diagnosis of osteoarthritis, which is chronic inflammation of the cartilage. The diagnosis can be of benefit to both humans and animals affected by the disease.
