Null Hypothesis Significance Testing (NHST) and the associated focus on arbitrary p-value thresholds has shown to be associated with substantial replication problems in medical, public health and social science research. The talk will focus on the critique of NHST and p-value thresholds and present alternative approaches to assess uncertainty. No pre-registration necessary.
