Pam Fredman served as vice-chancellor of the University of Gothenburg from 2006–2017. As a farewell gift to her, an award was instituted in consideration of her considerable engagement in the issue of sustainable development – specifically social sustainability and lifelong learning.
The Award, consisting of a diploma and a grant to the department/equivalent of SEK 20,000 per award winner, or a maximum of SEK 50,000, is to be used for the winners’ professional advancement. It will be presented at the university’s conferment ceremony in October each year.
Nominations for this years awards close on March 31.
All students and employees of the University of Gothenburg can submit a nomination.
Nominations must include a motivation and contact information for the nominee and must be submitted to the Vice-Chancellor no later than 31 March. An awards committee will process the nominations, with the eventual winners being decided by the University Board.
