Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ) is generally in favor of the proposed extension of the medical education, but questions about one of the proposed new goals, which involves knowledge of use of digital aids. According to UKÄ this goal is unclearly formulated and can lead to interpretation difficulties. UKÄ agrees with the government’s assessment that universities and colleges wishing that to issue a medical degree in accordance with the new regulations must apply for a permit, but also makes the point that it institutions must be given enough time to design their new education.
