The speech and language pathology program and the occupational therapy program will expand somewhat, while the pharmacy program will eliminate a few admission places. As a result of this, the Faculty Board tasked Dean Agneta Holmäng to reallot the number of students per program. Regarding research, it was decided that in 2019 the faculty will also allocate SEK 38 million based on third-cycle degrees, citations and external funding, and that the requirements for faculty-funded doctoral student positions would not be changed. The situation with a negative interest rate means that the University needs to pay interest to the Swedish National Debt Office for the capital saved. The University Board decided recently that this cost will be paid by the faculties, which entails a cost of SEK 7 million for Sahlgrenska Academy.
