The purpose of the grant is to provide support for clinical treatment studies that are motivated by the needs of healthcare and are expected to lead to patient and community benefits within a relatively short period of time. Treatment studies refer to both intervention and observation studies. Areas such as prevention, diagnosis, follow-up, implementation, nursing and rehabilitation are also included. The grant will enable a constellation of researchers in county councils / regions and academia to work towards a common research goal. The Swedish Research Council prizes research of the highest scientific quality in national competition.
