The grant consists of SEK two million per year for six years. It is being individually by researchers who defended their doctoral theses between 7 and 12 years ago. The Swedish Research Council expects to grant seven consolidation grants in medicine and health, as well as nine in science / technology.
The purpose of the grant is to provide the most prominent younger researchers with the opportunity to consolidate their research and expand their activities as independent researchers. Within the framework of the announcement, the Swedish Research Council wants to support researchers who have a scientifically interesting research idea and who can translate and carry out the research task, thus leading the research front or completing existing knowledge gaps.
