KLIMATET (“THE CLIMATE”) is a new series of seminars presented by the Environmental Council in collaboration with the Sahlgrenska Academy Students for Sustainability (SASS), the Network for the integration of sustainable development in education, Doctors for the Environment and the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation.
Christina Gravert is a behavioral economist at University of Gothenburg. She conducts research on why our good intentions often do not translate into the desired actions. In her work, she collaborates with policy makers and practitioners to design decision environments which make it easier for individuals to do the right thing. In this talk you will learn how nudging – using behavioral insights to influence behavior without restricting choice or using monetary incentives, can complement traditional policy instruments such as taxes and regulations to make sustainable consumption easier for everyone.
