The course will be given largely in English and is limited to ten participants.
The Grants and Innovation Office (FIK) offers a course on how to write research grants in an efficient way. The course will be based on the participants’ own work on ongoing proposals, and it consists of 2 compulsory full-days.
Course dates:
- February 21, 8.30 – 18.00
- March 1, 8.30 – 18.00
During the course we will go through all the parts of a proposal, with emphasis on the research program/project description. Short introductions and lectures by research advisors from FIK are followed by time to work on selected parts of your own drafts with access to the advisors of FIK. Your text fragments will then be collectively reviewed and commented by your fellow participants and the advisors, which will hopefully provide valuable feedback for further improvement. Each participant is expected to bring a computer with roaming mail capacity, for working with, and mailing of, your own texts during the workshops.
The selected participants will be contacted latest February 15.
Target group
This course targets scientists who are actively working on a proposal of their own, intended for submission during the first half of 2017. We expect you to bring to the course a reasonable first draft, and to have decided where you want to submit your final proposal.
