From the beginning of the year, PhD courses at Gothenburg University Library are free of charge. The same goes for interlibrary loans of articles and article copies to all employees at the University of Gothenburg.
The change will facilitate and simplify the faculties and institutes. More postgraduate students will have the opportunity to join the university library courses and more employees will have access to relevant literature.
– Without economic barriers we hope that more postgraduate students will have the opportunity to take part in the university library postgraduate courses, and hopefully be better prepared for their Ph.D. studies, says Margareta Hemmed, the head librarian and director of Gothenburg University Library. Graduate courses, interlibrary loans of articles and article copies should be a basic service to the university library provides.
