Speaker: Torbjörn Lundh, Professor in Biomathematics at Mathematical Sciences at Chalmers and University of Gothenburg
Abstract: We will discuss the great benefits and challenges of taking the leap into something interdisciplinary between medicine (i.e. vascular surgery), mathematics (turns almost always out to be handy in the end) and engineering (wherever that takes us, usually to Borås). I hope to show that this might be a trip that is quite fun, bloody and unexpected and that the shortest way from Chalmers to Sahlgrenska is not always over Wawrinskys plats, but could be via Palo Alto.

The seminars are open for all researchers at Chalmers and GU/SA.
Target group: PhD student and other researchers at Chalmers, Sahlgrenska Academy at Gothenburg University and Sahlgrenska University Hospital working with health and engineering.
